This is the second most important mosque in Islam. It was built by the Prophet Muhammad. The tombs of the first two Caliphs, Abu Bakr and Umar, are also there. The mosque is significant to Muslims, especially during Hajj and Umrah.
This is Madinah’s principal cemetery, where many of the Prophet’s associates, family members, and other important Islamic luminaries are buried. It has deep historical and spiritual significance.
This mosque has historical significance because it is where the direction of prayer (Qibla) was changed from Jerusalem to Makkah.
The first mosque that Prophet Muhammad built when he reached Madinah. It is very important religiously, and it is stated that praying two Rak’ahs in this mosque is the same as doing the Umrah.
This location commemorates the Battle of Uhud, which pitted Muslims against the Quraysh of Makkah. The mountain and battlefield are significant historical sites, and many Muslims visit to meditate on the lessons learned from the fight.
An open, level area near Makkah where pilgrims collect pebbles for the stoning ritual at Mina. It is also a site for overnight stay during the Hajj.
